DisEDAR is a tool to help in the design, sizing and operation of WWTPs.It is divided into 3 sections oriented for different functions.In the WWTP Design section you can:- Sizing a WWTP from 0, incorporating treatments one by one, choosing the ones that best adapt and the necessary units of each one.- Meanwhile, you will be able to observe how the contaminant load, the sludge generated and the necessary surface decrease.- At the end, you will obtain a summary with the flows treated, sludge generated (and treated), contaminant load eliminated in each stage until the outlet, incorporated treatments and surface of each one.It is a very useful tool for the initial design of a WWTP, being able to compare the necessary surface between different alternatives, as well as the characteristics of each treatment.It is also a very useful tool for teaching and learning, since it describes the basic operation of the treatment, its strong points and its weak points.In the Treatments section you can:- Consult the information of each treatment, how it works and its strengths and weaknesses.- Size each treatment in a specific way, controlling the characteristic sizing parameters (retention times, speeds, etc.).Very useful for the most exhaustive sizing of each treatment, being able to vary each design parameter and see how it behaves.Its use is also recommended to check how each treatment varies in the face of planned external changes (increases in flow, BOD, etc.).In the Tools section:- You have a multitude of calculations such as volumes, solutions, operational parameters, etc.This section contains the typical day-to-day calculations in a WWTP, grouping them and facilitating their performance.DisEDAR is constantly growing, so the number of available treatments and tools will increase with each update.* For the realization of some calculations, experimental data are assumed.
